Grandpa Bear – A Legend of the Slopes

Every winter at the Jiangjun Hill Ski Resort in Altay City, Xinjiang, a remarkable figure known as “Grandpa Bear” appears on the slopes. Traveling from Beijing, Chen Xuedong dons his signature bear suit and skillfully glides through the snow, becoming a unique sight in this  winter wonderland.

Beyond his love for skiing, Chen has crafted his own custom skis and built lasting friendships with young skiers who admire his passion. At Jiangjun Hill Ski Resort, his presence always brings joy and laughter, proving that the thrill of skiing knows no age limits.
